FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. This is an advanced programme designed exclusively for graduates of a Yoga Alliance-registered 200-hour programme. You must hold or be completing your RYT 200 before the start date.
Upon graduation, you register both your 200-hour and 300-hour certificates with Yoga Alliance at yogaalliance.org. The combined 500 hours qualifies you for the RYT 500 designation directly.
Yes. Once registered as RYT 500, you continue to log teaching hours. After accumulating 1,000 hours of teaching post-training (with at least 500 at the 500-hour level), you qualify for E-RYT 500.
We recommend a minimum of one year of regular teaching (at least 2 classes per week). Prior teaching experience is essential so you can meaningfully apply and reflect on the advanced content.
The 300-hour training goes significantly deeper into philosophy, anatomy, and teaching craft. It focuses on nuance, specialisation, and developing your unique voice rather than introducing foundational concepts.
For the immersive intensive format, room and board is included in the residential fee. For weekend and hybrid programmes, accommodation is not included but we provide nearby recommendations.
In some circumstances, we allow students to complete the programme over two cohorts. Please enquire directly as this is assessed on a case-by-case basis with faculty approval.
The RYT 500 credential is a prerequisite for teaching on Yoga Alliance registered teacher trainings. Once you have your RYT 500 and sufficient teaching hours, you will be well positioned to lead trainings.
